A customer recently wrote to us here at Wild Foods asking this:
”I just wanted to know the validity of the youtube guys claims (these are not my claims) that marine oil is rancid by the time it gets to the consumer and that it contributes to skin cancer. If he’s wrong please tell me why.”
”I’m sure many oils are rancid, many of the cheap oils. It all comes down to the source. We are vertically integrated, meaning my manufacturer owns the actual shipping boats, the processing, the bottling, etc., every step of the process. Also, rancid oils tend to make you feel like crap + can give you burps and other gut issues, so it’s pretty easy to tell based on using the product. Our oils are also tested multiple times throughout the process. The problem with all social media influencers is most of them are parrots: they hear something then if it can get SEO, they parrot it. The US vs THEM is a good branding strategy. It’s garbage for the most part as many of them haven’t done anything research-wise.I’ve used about 35-45 caps of our Wild Fish Oil for a month as an experiment and felt nothing but great.”- Colin
