If how to do it were the answer, it’d be done. It’s how you do the how’s that’s most important.
In fact, if just the right information were the answer, we’d all be rich, healthy, happy and fulfilled. And most of us are none of those things. Why not, because the answer is only the answer.
It isn’t actually doing the thing. It isn’t applying the answer, living the answer. It’s only information.
We talked about a secret ingredient. An ingredient, that once you grasp it, will cause you to find those answers, apply them, live them, and achieve the results you want. The missing ingredient, which just is like page 20 in the book, before it even talks about this, the secret ingredient is your philosophy.
By your philosophy, all I mean is changing the way you think about simple, everyday things. By your philosophy, all I mean is changing the way you think about everyday, simple things.
Once you do, then you will take the steps you need to take to lead you to the how-to’s you need. Let me put it this way, if you don’t change how you think about these simple, everyday things, then no amount of how-to’s will get you anywhere or give you any true solutions.
Because it’s not the how’s that do it. It’s how you do the how’s.
The reason diets and self-help courses and weight loss programs, and other how-to’s don’t work for most people, is the same reason most how-to books and courses don’t work for most people. It isn’t the actions that are wrong.
It’s that people don’t keep doing the actions. They don’t keep doing them. They don’t, they’ll do ’em for a week, they’re motivated, then they stop.
I mean literally, there’s a secret to like every failure in life, there’s a secret to every failure in diets, in business, in everything, I mean in relationships, people just stop doing the things. And this is human nature.
We succumb to inertia, we succumb to the path of least resistance. Like we always have to be working on shit.
It’s kind of exhausting, when you think about it. But, when you build that into who you are, like there’s days I don’t wanna do shit. There’s days I’m like I don’t wanna do that.
Like I gotta put together a bed and a bedframe in here, and this has been like this for a week. I’m like, I’m kinda putting it off. I got these like Ikea things that I have to put together.
This is kinda exciting, I’ve moved multiple times, we’ve moved our warehouse like five times. Every time I’m like I’m never doing that again.
We’re about to move it again, and actually get rid of it, and consolidate it, so we can move into our coffee bar, and do that, now we gotta build out the coffee bar. We gotta move two storage units.
Phew, just talking about it makes me tired. But, it’s just, it’s built into me that that’s what I gotta do, and I’m gonna do it.
So, when you develop that philosophy, when you do the stuff, because you have to do stuff, because there’s no other decision, because to not do the stuff is to not like be who you are. Like that’s why I talked about like, it has to be your philosophy.
In fact that’s all I’m gonna do for the book for today.
So, like, subscribe, jab a thumbs up, slap me some ‘scribe, I really appreciate the support.
I really appreciate you joining me with this little sliver of your life, because you know, you could do a lot of other things, and life is short, and so, you spending a little bit of time with me means a lot.
And I hope that you can take something useful from this video. And you know, you always hear that, at the end of YouTube videos, I was thinking about that lately, it’s like, everyone’s like I hope this video is useful, or I hope you do something with it.
But it’s like do something. I don’t, I’m not, in fact I don’t hope shit. I want you to literally do something about what you read today. Maybe that means just buying this book.
Maybe that means emailing me, so you can sell me some of your self-help books. One of a million things, you know, there’s a lot of things you can do.
And I think in video two I’ll talk a lot about about how to actually work on your philosophy, because that’s something that, I mean, it’s a long game, it’s hard to do, and I’ve been doing it for a long time, and I feel like I’m leveling up, every year I’m leveling up, every year I look back, I’m like wow, a year ago you were a moron.
Every year I think that. And that’s good though, like it’s not a negative way, it’s like wow, you thought you knew so much, but now look what you know, right?
Like I love that feeling. I love looking back at my past stuff, and being like I’m better than I was. That’s what you want too. You wanna do that in your life, that means you’re growing, you know, that’s all I got today.
I’m telling you, that holy basil, get some holy basil up in your life. I also took a bunch of fish oil, yeah, Wild Fish Oil. Use code WILDCEO for 12% off your whole order.
