I have used this product for several months and have found it gives me energy, stamina and sharpens the brain. I use it in my cereal in the morning, have added it in recipes that require vegetable oil and in pan frying foods. It is very stable.
I love the MCT oil. I use it in my coffee and take it to prolong my fast. I love Wild Foods products and they have the best customer service!

Our Wild MCT oils are made in the US from coconut and palm kernels sourced from sustainable sources in southeast Asia. Due to availability, our manufacturer buys from various sources depending on availability in the area, but each farm/producer must show sustainable farming practices before we will buy from them. As you know, the palm deforestation is a major problem over there. We would never support anyone contributing to this problem.
MCT oil can't actually be certified organic due to the nature of the ingredient and the way the oils are fractionated off to produce a blend of C8 and C10 fatty acids. There is no organic MCT oil in the world. That said, our oil is made from only sustainable coconut and palm fruit sources and is pharmaceutical grade and made in the US.
It sure is! No solvents or harsh chemicals are used.
Heck yes you can! Wild MCT is a staple in the Wild kitchen. It is safe for low to moderate heat cooking and baking. It's also the perfect base for salad dressing.
Absolutely nothing. Just a plain, flavorless, odorless oil. In fact, that's one of its very selling points. Because coconut oil tends to impart a coconut flavor onto anything it touches, Wild MCT helps you get the medium-chain triglycerides, and all their benefit, into your diet and recipes without the coconut flavor (and a higher smoke point).
The main difference is the inclusion of C12 - lauric acid - in our 16oz BPA-free plastic bottle size. Our glass bottle is a blend of just C8 and C10 fatty acids, while our MCT #2 is a blend of C8/C10/C12. The C12 makes it a bit more potent for skincare, haircare, oil pulling, and anything relating to external body use. The C8/C10 is better used as a fuel for things such as butter coffee, protein shakes, and the like. Both are great for all uses really, but each will give an added boost for the purposes mentioned above!
We cannot speak on what other brands do since we have no clue about their process. What I have learned, though, is that you get what you pay for when it comes to food and ingredients. Bulk MCT that is cheap is almost always cheap for a reason: non-sustainable practices, cheap over-farmed ingredients, chemical treatment, lack of quality control and testing, and so on.
Our MCT is sourced direct from small farmers that grow sustainably and organically. We also use the highest quality fractioning process without the use of chemicals like hexane.
