On average, each single wafer of ~2.5 grams melts down to about 1/2 teaspoon or ~1-1.5 grams liquid cocoa butter.

Cocoa butter is extremely shelf-stable, so it will last quite a while. We recommend using within a few months once you've opened the package - which should be kept in a cool, dark place. Alternatively, you can keep it in the fridge or freezer to preserve freshness.
