Food grade fruit and vegetable wax is FDA approved, but multiple studies have shown the chemicals UNDERNEATH THEM pose dangerous health risks. For one, a number of pesticides are neurotoxins.  Studies have suggested there is a connection between pesticide exposure and the development of Parkinson’s Disease.

Another is to reduce the risk of cancer. Glyphosate is the most widely used pesticide worldwide and is a key ingredient in hundreds of crop-control agents and weed killers.Furthermore, the International Agency for Research on Cancer,  came to the conclusion that glyphosate is a ‘probable’ cancer-causing substance.

Finally, we should wash our fruits and vegetables to protect our children's health! The American Academy of Pediatrics issued a statement in 2012 that exposing children to pesticides is directly correlated to pediatric cancers, decreased cognitive function and behavioral problems.
