    Good protein

    I've used a bunch of different brands over the years and think this is the one. I put a scoop in my smoothie each morning and appreciate the quality of the ingredients and product to get me the protein I need each day.

    Here’s my go to recipe:
    1 scoop of Wild whey
    1 scoop of raw oatmeal
    1 frozen pack of Amafruits brand açaí
    12 oz of Sambazon açaí juice
    1 banana
    A handful of frozen strawberries
    A little bit of bee pollen granules
    Blend it all together with a hand blender in a large cup!

    I have tried many different whey protein powders over the years and none compare to this one offered by Wild Foods. I have been a customer now for over five years.

    You may find cheaper whey powders, but that is because they are mass produced and are not as natural as Wild Foods' products. The closest one I have found to this is a GNC product which is comparably priced, but still not produced by grass fed cattle.

    Where does the milk come from?

    Wild Whey is made from the dairy milk of Australian dairy cows that graze year-round on lush green organic pastures. Our cows are humanely treated and happy cows that are a blend of A2 and A1 (A2 whenever possible). Breeds are a mix of Holstein and fewer numbers of Guernsey.

    What does "non-denatured, native whey protein" mean?

    "Native" means that the whey is made directly from milk and not from cheese the way most protein powders are made. When whey is made from cheese curds (a byproduct of the cheese-making industry), the milk is twice "denatured," meaning it is twice pasteurized and processed. This processing and denaturing, often done with harsh chemicals and mechanical methods, breaks down the milk product during each step, resulting in less nutrition and killing almost all of the beneficial biologically active components of raw milk.

    There is little regulation in whey protein manufacturing, but as a general rule, if your whey is cheap, tastes like chalk, and is full of all kinds of artificial sweetens and fillers, you shouldn't put it in your body. Your body is not made to consume foodstuffs that have been heavily processed this way.

    Many of the big brand whey protein companies get the denatured leftover cheese curds from cheese manufacturers for pennies. This is how they can afford to charge so little for their protein powder. When it comes to whey protein, you get what you pay for!

    Is this product tested for heavy metals?

    Does Wild Whey have casein? I'm sensitive to casein.

    Wild Whey contains less than 1% casein. We've had customers in the past with sensitivity to casein yet totally love Wild Whey and find they tolerate it well.

    Does this product have any additives?

    Is this mixable without a blender? I have read that it isn't good as far as maintaining its properties.

    You can also use a blender but on low speed. And if you have other ingredients, like in a smoothie for example, just pulse or blend on low and it's fine. It's the high-speed, high-heat that can damage the beneficial nutrition in the whey!
