Open-pasture ranches in Australia is where hormone-free happy and healthy dairy cows graze on organic pastures year-round to produce the milk for our cold-processed non-denatured Wild Whey protein.
I have tried many different whey protein powders over the years and none compare to this one offered by Wild Foods. I have been a customer now for over five years.
You may find cheaper whey powders, but that is because they are mass produced and are not as natural as Wild Foods' products. The closest one I have found to this is a GNC product which is comparably priced, but still not produced by grass fed cattle.
Considering, taste, price, and production methods no other product I have found can compare to Wild Foods Whey Powder.
Just made my first smoothie with this. Immediately bought a dozen more bags.
best quality Protein
I am loving this Wild Whey protein. I sometimes add some berries, or a shot of espresso and 1/4 C coconut milk - PERFECTION!
I love this whey!
Grass-Fed Happy Cows Make Wild Whey
Not Your Typical Protein Powder
Mass-produced cheap whey protein undergoes a massive amount of processing. This "denatures" the fragile nutrition inherent in quality grass-fed milk. It's a real shame since whey protein is a literal superfood if produced with care.
Our Wild Whey is a non-denatured whey protein that is not only good for you but also tastes great!
Wild Whey undergoes a patented cold-process technique and minimal processing. It's why it smells and tastes like the food it came from: milk!
Why Wild Whey?
Because your health, results and performance matter to you and you need a protein that reflects that importance!
Because you want the best quality and the creamiest taste. Wild Whey made from milk is the creamiest, most delicious whey on the market.
Wild Whey FAQ
Where does the milk come from?
Wild Whey is made from the dairy milk of Australian dairy cows that graze year-round on lush green organic pastures. Our cows are humanely treated and happy cows that are a blend of A2 and A1 (A2 whenever possible). Breeds are a mix of Holstein and fewer numbers of Guernsey.
What does "non-denatured, native whey protein" mean?
"Native" means that the whey is made directly from milk and not from cheese the way most protein powders are made. When whey is made from cheese curds (a byproduct of the cheese-making industry), the milk is twice "denatured," meaning it is twice pasteurized and processed. This processing and denaturing, often done with harsh chemicals and mechanical methods, breaks down the milk product during each step, resulting in less nutrition and killing almost all of the beneficial biologically active components of raw milk.
There is little regulation in whey protein manufacturing, but as a general rule, if your whey is cheap, tastes like chalk, and is full of all kinds of artificial sweetens and fillers, you shouldn't put it in your body. Your body is not made to consume foodstuffs that have been heavily processed this way.
Many of the big brand whey protein companies get the denatured leftover cheese curds from cheese manufacturers for pennies. This is how they can afford to charge so little for their protein powder. When it comes to whey protein, you get what you pay for!
Is this product tested for heavy metals?
Yes! Every batch must pass COA testing to ensure safety for microbial and heavy metal content.
Does Wild Whey have casein? I'm sensitive to casein.
Wild Whey contains less than 1% casein. We've had customers in the past with sensitivity to casein yet totally love Wild Whey and find they tolerate it well.
How much lactose is in Wild Whey?
Wild Whey contains trace amounts of lactose.
Does this product have any additives?
Never ever ever evaaaa!
Is this mixable without a blender? I have read that it isn't good as far as maintaining its properties.
You can also use a blender but on low speed. And if you have other ingredients, like in a smoothie for example, just pulse or blend on low and it's fine. It's the high-speed, high-heat that can damage the beneficial nutrition in the whey!
How many carbs per serving?
2 grams per serving.
Do the cows live and graze in open pastures?
They sure do! They roam on large organic grass pastures in Australia and are humanely treated and never administered any antibiotics or anything like that.
Is Wild Whey a grass-fed and grass-finished product?
Yes. Both grass-fed and grass-finished.
